Our Story
MVN began out of frustration on the manufacturing floor with inconsistent quality, high scrap rates and less than optimal throughput. Quotes for automated inspection and QA systems ranged from $70,000 to over $150,000; for a startup, that wasn't feasible.
We started with an initial prototype installed on an injection mold: a removable camera system that took photos of parts before they were ejected from the mold cavity. The cameras were connected to a conformance software that identified the degree of error to which a part wasn't fully formed, alerting operators to exact cavity numbers found to be non-conformant.
As a result, the original beta camera system decreased part non-conformance to under 1%, saving tens of thousands of dollars per month in lost time, material, machine use and QA inspections. Since then, MVN has evolved to become a fully modular and non-invasive inspection system with multi-site sensors, cameras and software. We're always looking to create new solutions that digitize hard-to-capture process metrics unique to any manufacturer's product line.

Owls have been known to represent wisdom, insight and keen awareness. As nocturnal beings, they were sacred in ancient Greece, symbolizing strategy and good fortune in battle; owls were also viewed as protective guides by some Native American tribes.
